CONNECTING NEW UTILITY SERVICES

Residents wishing to establish new service should visit our New Utilities & Accounts Q&A section for information.

Extensions

The City of Lake Butler offers two extensions (PER CALENDAR YEAR) of service to those who need it. Utility account holders who may need extra time to pay the balance on their account should contact City Hall BEFORE the due date on the 20th of each month.

  • An extension lasts for 10 days from the date it is put into place and no interruption of service will happen during that time.
  • The account will receive a late fee of $12.50 which must be paid along with the balance of the bill.
  • If the balance is not paid by the extended date, service will be disconnected and balance will be due in full for reconnection of service.
  • You cannot have a Payment Plan for the duration of your Extension.

Payment Plans

Payment Plan is available for those who need more time to pay off their balance. This option is only available if the current Utility Bill is greater than $125.00. A customer may request a payment plan for the amount greater than the basic charge. Please contact City Hall at 386-496-3401 Ex 3 before the 20th of each month to make arrangements to avoid late fees and reconnection charges.
